Nandini
Sperm Station is engaged in production and supply of superior
quality frozen semen to all the Dairy Cooperative Societies
through the Milk Unions in the project area of Karnataka Milk
Federation. It is one of the largest producers and suppliers
of quality frozen semen under the Cooperative Sector and is
meeting the entire demand of frozen semen of the State
Cooperative Sector. An independent external Evaluation
Committee monitors the quality of the semen produced at the
Station. |

Semen is processed in French Mini Straws, and in Tris-Egg Yolk-Glycerol-Dilutor
with Sperm concentration 20 million spermatozoa and post thaw recovery 50% & above. |
|
Cost irrespective of breed and pedigree is
Rs.12/- per dose to the Milk Unions & Rs.15/- per
dose to others.
All Animals stationed are free from Brucellosis, Tuberculosis and Para Tuberculosis. Present Herd strength is Cows -
22, Bulls - 76,
